Rooms and availability
In the Room
The room was big and the bed was huge and comfortable. I liked the location of the hotel, although it is a bit far to drive after a romantic dinner with wine in one of the near villages.
The location is superb. Despite being a conference centre, the venue is not soulless and a lot of the accommodation is in either converted old buildings or sympathetically designed new ones. A walk around the estate is a real experience, I saw deer, foxes and rabbits but Im sure there is much more wildlife. As a middle aged female solo traveller, I felt very safe and able to rekax in the surroundings. The restaurant, while cafeteria style, is light & airy, and the food is excellent. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The wifi connection is reliable. Loads of parking.
Can't think of a thing I didn't like!!
The convenience for being right at the conference that i was attending and the view from my room.
I would have preferred to have a bath in the room and it was a shame that there wasn't one as there was more than enough room in the bathroom. It would have also been nice to have half blind/shutters on the windows and door so that I could have let some daylight into the room in the morning without scaring the room maid and myself to death when she came to see if the room was vacant at the same time as I came out of the shower. Luckily for both of us I had a towel around me!
Although primarily a conference centre I found my stay very agreeable for an overnight stay when away on business; a quiet and comfortable room, a good breakfast and the use of a bar and lounge areas. The location is remote from local facilities but the compensation was the tranquility of extensive countryside views, fresh air and marvellous ipen views.
Some of the hotel facilities you might expect were missing, such as minibar, late food (a set dinner is available but only until 20.00) and the ability to order a newspaper. I chose to walk down to the local town (Broadway) and followed the directions sheet provided - but got lost - some waymarkers would really help!
Excellent room and good breakfast although the kitchen staff had difficulty in keeping up supplies when a larger number of people turned up
No information given that the restaurant would not be open in the evening - even though it states there is one. Had to drive to local village where had an excellent and very resonably priced meal.
It was set in beautiful countryside - the sunset was amazing. My room was very quiet and had excellent shower - powerful and lots of hot water. I was travelling alone but felt perfectly safe and at ease. Breakfast was self-serve with cold and hot options. Very relaxed and you could have as much as you liked..
Having to carry my luggage quite a distance from the car park to my room block. Also, the room was well- designed but had completely bare walls - a print or picture would have been good. Although I know the Cotswolds quite well, it was difficult to find the entrance to the Conference Centre.
Clean room very comfortable, excellent breakfast very friendly staff.
the location was fantastic
the fact there was no restaurant open , no bar open and the room walls were waffer thin , so had terrible nights sleep due to very loud snorer in next room.
The room and bed were comfortable. The location beautiful and peaceful and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and I like the use of local produce and the concerns for the environment.
Reasonably priced, great security, tidy rooms and a nice secluded location.
Good value, £18 three course meal.
Reminded me of 'Centre parks' in nice hotel facilities..beautifull setting and layout. Looked like there were some great walks, and certainly some good towns nearby. Nice staff and food, although very short window of service for the evening meal, but was no problem for me.
Being made to feel welcome and well looked after. The food was fabulous and plentiful!
The staff were really welcoming. Great setting in a large country estate. Excellent range of facilities including a nice bar, gym, lounge and country walks on the campus.
Off the beaten track so a bit tricky to find.
Very good relaxing stay beautiful location quiet and peaceful. very good breakfast. Didn't try the dinner but would next time.very good value.
